Reminiscence Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Reminiscence, founded by Zoé Coste and Nino Amaddeo in 1970, is a French company specialising in upscale costume jewellery and perfumes. What started out as a small business under the name “Ylang-Ylang” with just a small shop situated along the Cote d'Azur quickly grew out to be a great success story. After changing their name to Reminiscence, they experienced a growth spurt in sales and opened two additional stores in Paris and Cannes. Nowadays the fantasy inspired jewellery is sold in over 170 stores throughout Europe. After Zoé's passing in 2007, her daughter Lilla Amaddeo took on the management of the design department. Her brother Sebastien currently leads the jewelry department.

With over 270 jewellery creations a year you would expect that the quality of the fragrance would be a lesser priority. Their portfolio with over 35 fragrances begs to differ. The first three fragrances that were launched are still in production and are as popular as ever. One of the three is the Patchouli (1970) perfume, an oriental and woody fragrance which opens with a burst of french labdanum and tolu balsam. Another classic is Ambre (1970) with a heart of cedar, patchouli and sandalwood, resting on a base of vanilla and musk.
