Laura Biagiotti Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Even though she studied archeology in Rome, Laura Biagiotti’s fate was to become a fashion designer like her mother. As a matter of fact, her mother owned a dressmaking shop and designed the uniforms for the Italian airline, Alitalia. After several years in the family business, she opened her own clothing company together with her husband, Gianni Cigna. It was only in 1972 that she was able to create her first women’s line. She is also known as the “Queen of Cashmere” as she managed to make cashmere a popular fabric, always present in all her collections, that could be worn by anyone. Women adored her style as all her collections were soft and comfortable as well as flattering.

The House of Biagiotti, based in Via dei Condotti in Rome is recognized as one of the largest fashion houses in Italy. When she lived in Beijing, she was the first Italian fashion designer to present a collection in China in April 1988. She also received the Marco Polo award from the Chinese government for bringing her collections to China.

Laura Biagiotti’s fragrances are made in collaboration with Procter & Gamble. Her first fragrance was “Fiori Bianchi”, introduced in 1982. Her best-seller however is “Roma”, which was launched in 1988. The bottle looks like an ancient Roman column, with a proper base and shaft. “Acqua di Roma”, a fresh, floral and fruity fragrance, was introduced in 2010. “Laura” is a summer fragrance, composed by notes of watermelon, peach, vanilla, vetiver and freesia.
