Jade Goody Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody was a famous reality TV star who first entered the spotlight in season 3 of the TV reality show Big Brother. Born in London, Goody came from an unstable family background and later moved to Upshire in Essex, where she trained and worked as a dental nurse. Before her untimely death in 2009 she starred in several other TV shows, published 2 autobiographies and released two very successful fragrances.

Jade first entered the Big Brother house in 2002 where she won over the audience with her simple charme. She finished fourth and went on to make regular appearances in various TV shows. Together with her boyfriend Jack Tweed and her mother she participated in the 5th season of Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 and later joined the Indian version of the format in 2008. However, just after she joined the cast of Big Boss she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to withdraw from the show to receive treatment back in England. The mother of two sons had battled with symptoms for a long time but it was not until 2008 that she received the devastating diagnosis. Goody’s battle with cancer was widely covered by the media even after the illness was declared terminal. After her boyfriend Tweed was released from prison in January 2009, the couple got married in a public ceremony. Goody sadly passed away only 1 month after the wedding. Although media coverage remained high, Goody had arranged for a private funeral service attended only by her husband, close family and friends. Following her death a study by the NHS revealed an increase in 12% in cervical screenings among women aged 25-64 which would later become known as the Jade Goody effect.

In 2005 Goody ventured into the fragrance industry and introduced a very successful line of Jade Goody perfume. The oriental floral Shh... (2006) by Jade Goody remains one of the best loved celebrity perfumes of all time. The composition opens with fresh citrus notes resting on a spicy heart of pepper, cumin, cinnamon and different florals and a warm base with notes of amber, patchouli, vanilla and musk. Shh... Eau de Parfum was followed by Controversial (2008). The floral fruity scent combines notes of red berries, frangipani, tiare flower, amber and patchouli. Both women’s fragrances are also available as part of a Jade Goody perfume set.
