Davidoff Perfume & Women's Fragrance

The Davidoff brand was originally founded by Henri Davidoff and his family in the early 20th century and initially only focused on tobacco goods and accessories sold from one single shop in Switzerland. It is only in the late 1980s that the Davidoff brand expanded to fragrances, which are now being produced under exclusive arrangements with Coty Inc.

It was in fact Zino Davidoff, the eldest of the four Davidoff children, who initially embarked on the mission to expand his family's tobacco business in the 1930s. With Zino's newly gained experience from his earlier travels throughout South America, the modest tobacco shop soon grew to a very successful business and it even continued to grow throughout World War II thanks to Switzerland's neutral political stance. Zino eventually sold the tobacco shop to the Max Oettinger Company in 1970 and after being part of several corporate mergers and acquisitions, Davidoff also expanded into leather goods, fashion accessories, coffee and fragrances.

The Davidoff brand achieved remarkable success with the introduction of Cool Water, which saw the rise of the aromatic aquatic fragrance category and although their fragrances were often imitated, the imitations never quite matched Davidoff's passion for excellence. Some of their most popular women's perfumes include the world-famous florally aquatic notes of Cool Water Woman (1996), the sweet powdery accords of Good Life (1999) and the sumptuous floral notes of Echo Woman (2004). Other popular women's fragrances from Davidoff include the sweet floral accords of Cool Water Sensual Essence (2012), the fresh and sweet notes of Cool Water Sea Rose (2013) and the lovely leathery unisex Leather Blend (2014).
