Star Wars Cologne & Men's Fragrance

George Lucas developed his idea for the first Star Wars film in the 1970s. Little did he know at the time how much his life and in fact the Sci-Fi universe would change with the release of Star Wars: IV A New Hope (1977). The Star Wars series is one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons of the 20th Century and managed to carry its ever increasing influence straight over into the 21st!

Considering a combined box office revenue of $4.38 BIO for only the first 6 Episodes, it is no surprise that Star Wars merchandise can be found in all shapes and forms. The Star Wars fragrance collection, like most items, is mainly aimed at younger generations taken by the Force. The bottle design is rarely subtle and Star Wars perfume is available in the shape of Darth Vader, a Storm Trooper and other familiar faces from the popular saga. The scents are generally marketed to appeal to both boys and girls and men and women respectively.

Divided into three trilogies, the Star Wars Saga conquered cinema screens worldwide with the Original trilogy consisting of Episodes IV-VI in the 70s and 80s. The Prequel Series first aired in 1999 with Episode I, followed by Episode II in 2002 and Episode III in 2005. Although less critically acclaimed than the Original Series, the Prequel films were all major box office hits. In 2014 the Walt Disney company purchased Lucasfilm for over $4BIO and quickly announced a Sequel Trilogy, introduced by Episode VII- The Force Awakens in 2015. Other notable media releases marketed under the Star Wars brand are the animated tv series The Clone Wars (2008) as well as the Anthology Series recently announced by Disney which is set to focus on the background story of different popular characters from the saga. The first film, Rogue One (2016), follows a group of Rebels and the second film is centred around the adventures of a young Han Solo, famously portrayed by Harrison Ford in the Original Series.

John Williams' theme tune can be considered one of the most widely recognised pieces of film music of all time. But it is not just the music that has become part of a general cultural knowledge. Rarely does a film have as much impact as the Star Wars Series remains to have. With a dedicated international fan-base and the recent acquisition by the Walt Disney Company, this cultural force will be with us for many years to come.
