The name is inspired in navigation and the sea, and that is why it has a particular style, deeply related to sailing, and that is why they also promote prestigious sailing competitions.

The company has very high earnings every year, is present in more than 75 countries worldwide. and it is devoted to the manufacture of sportswear, jeans, tailored clothes, and outdoors clothing that include sweaters, shirts, pants, shorts, parkas, tops, T-shirts, and swimwear that come in three different lines: Anchor, Crew and Fashion. Their products ranges have expanded to fragrances, shoes, watches, glasses, belts, wallets, gloves, scarves, and home accessories.

The first male fragrance that Nautica offered was Nautica Cologne for Men, that appeared in 1992 with the blue colour as a trademark. This fragrance is citric and woody, with ingredients such as aldehydes, coriander, tarragon, neroli, cyclamen and oakmoss. In 1999, the brand presented the Latitude/Longitude men's line. The fragrance is aromatic and spicy, with bergamot, coriander, tarragon, nutmeg and black tea. The fragrance Oceans Nautica for Men is aromatic and marine, it was launched in 2009 and contains lemon tonic, geranium, and salt rose. On that same year, Nautica launched Regatta, an aromatic and citric fragrance for men with mandarin, sage and mint. In 2015, the brand launched Life Energy, a woody men's fragrance with bergamot, grapefruit, sage and vetiver.
