L'Occitane en Provence Cologne & Men's Fragrance

L'Occitane was founded in 1976 by Olivier Baussan who wanted to bring back the traditional French soap making. In 1978 his first boutique opened in Volx and not long after their first fragrance, Eau des 4 Voleurs, was produced in 1991. Eau des 4 Voleurs was a woody aromatic fragrance for men which was loved by many. Unfortunately, this fragrance was discontinued but the success of it prompted L'Occitane to bring out more fragrances solely catered to the male audience. With over 15 men's fragrances in their portfolio they have made quite a name for themselves in the fragrance industry. It is notable that all their masculine fragrances contain woody and/or aromatic notes.

As L'Occitane's main focus is skin care they have opted to produce a men's skin care range. This entire line is based on the needs of a man and includes moisturisers, cleansers and shaving accessoires. All products contain essential oil and soothing properties that are catered to the thicker facial skin that men have. Favourites in this range are the Cade and Cedrat products.

Not only are they involved with producing and selling their products, L'Occitane en Provence also has an online magazine called “Fantastic Provence” which was launched to promote the love and knowledge of Southern France. In 2009 they launched their eco-refill packaging to help the environment which was received well by friends of the earth.
